Club Meetings
The club has secured new premises for meetings. The Calthorpe Arms, 252 Gray's Inn Rd, London, City of London, Greater London WC1X 8JR. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 25th January 2017.
Rob Bayly has agreed to attend and will be telling us all about flying over London.

Rob has flown balloons in the Arctic, deserts and mountains as well as at the world’s largest and most colourful balloon meetings. Among his record-breaking flights Rob has flown the Atlantic by balloon.
In 1987 Rob gained his hot air balloon pilot’s license. Five years later he flew the Atlantic as co-pilot of the British entry in the only Transtatlantic balloon race. He has flown the English Channel three times and has three times been winner of the Great British Long Jump distance competition. Extreme flights include the Norwegian Arctic, Austrian Alps, Sri Lankan jungle and New Mexico desert. Rob holds a number of records and has flown in countries including Russia, USA, Australia, Malaysia and UAE Dubai.

CROSS LONDON BY BALLOON
Take a stunning flight over the Capital’s magnificent landmarks. Pilot Rob Bayly has over-flown London in all five special permission mass balloon ascents and he takes you with him sightseeing while dodging low flying jets. Magnificent aerial photography and time-lapse video convey the appeal of flying amongst the high-rise towers, with nowhere to land. From the first ever balloon flight in England to the bold Victorian gas balloonists, London has always been an inviting challenge and now hosts an annual hot air balloon spectacular.
